The Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Kolašin is actually responsible for the prosecution of the perpetrators of crimes for which the main fine or prison sentence of up to ten years is prescribed by law, regardless of the characteristics, occupation and position of the perpetrator and regardless of whether the crime was committed in peacetime conditions, during a state of emergency, immediate danger of war or a state of war, unless the jurisdiction of another court, i.e. the prosecutor's office, is prescribed for some of these crimes.
The Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Kolašin acts before the Basic Court in Kolašin, and is locally competent for the territory of the Municipality of Kolašin.
