Marković and Bjeković sign Protocol on the Safekeeping and Protection of Classified Information

The Supreme State Prosecutor, Milorad Marković, and the Protector of Human Rights and Freedoms, Siniša Bjeković, signed a Protocol on the safekeeping and protection of classified information, the protection of secrecy and confidentiality of proceedings, and the protection of personal data, with the aim of safeguarding citizens’ rights and strengthening institutional cooperation. potpisali su Protokol o čuvanju i zaštiti tajnih podataka, zaštiti tajnosti i povjerljivosti postupka i zaštiti ličnih podataka, u cilju zaštite prava građana i jačanja institucionalne saradnje.

The purpose of this Protocol is to raise the level of security in the use of sensitive information and to enhance the safety and respect for the fundamental rights of every individual.

 The Protocol establishes clear obligations regarding the safeguarding of classified and personal data, their use exclusively for purposes prescribed by law, and the consistent observance of standards of confidentiality in proceedings.

Marković and Bjeković emphasized that this Protocol enhances trust and harmonization of procedures in cases involving the processing of sensitive data within both institutions.
