A more transparent, proactive, and citizen-accessible State Prosecutor’s Office and Prosecutorial Council are the goals of the new three-year Communication Strategy, adopted with the aim of improving the institution’s openness toward the public through timely, clear, and accurate information on the work of the prosecutorial organization.
The Strategy is focused on strengthening public trust in the work of the prosecution through efficient and open communication, as well as on improving citizens’ awareness of the role and competences of the State Prosecutor’s Office.
The new Communication Strategy was developed with the support of the Council of Europe, through the project “Strengthening Accountability in the Judicial System and Improving the Rights of Victims in Montenegro.” Council of Europe consultants participated in its development through expert analyses, recommendations, and continuous consultations, in line with European standards of transparency and institutional communication. „Osnaživanje odgovornosti u pravosudnom sistemu i unašređenje prava žrtava u Crnoj Gori”. Konsultanti Savjeta Evrope učestvovali su u njenoj izradi kroz stručne analize, preporuke i kontinuirane konsultacije, u skladu sa evropskim standardima transparentnosti i institucionalne komunikacije.
The Strategy envisages improved cooperation with the media, strengthening public relations capacities, and a proactive approach to informing citizens on issues of public interest, while consistently respecting legal limitations, the right to privacy, and the independence of the prosecution.
The implementation of the Communication Strategy will contribute to a clearer, more understandable, and more accessible presentation of the work of the state prosecution organization to its target audiences.
