Supreme State Prosecutor Milorad Marković signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Office of the Attorney General of the Republic of Ecuador, further strengthening Montenegro’s international cooperation in combating organized and transnational crime.
The signing of the Memorandum represents a continuation of activities initiated during an international meeting held at Eurojust headquarters in The Hague in December 2025, where frameworks for cooperation with several Latin American countries were established.
The Memorandum with Ecuador will enable more efficient information exchange, improved operational coordination, and enhanced cooperation in cases involving organized crime, particularly in the areas of drug trafficking and other serious forms of cross-border criminal activity.
Through this agreement, the State Prosecutor’s Office of Montenegro continues to demonstrate its commitment to strengthening international judicial cooperation and actively contributing to the joint fight against contemporary security challenges.
