Supreme State Prosecutor’s Office Reaffirms Its Commitment to Prosecuting War Crimes and Protecting Victims’ Rights

Andrijana Vujošević, an Adviser at the Supreme State Prosecutor’s Office and a member of the Government of Montenegro’s Commission for Missing Persons, attended a commemoration marking 34 years since the war crime committed against the three-member Klapuh family from Foča – Hasan, Ferida and their daughter Sena.

As a result of the work of the Commission for Missing Persons and the competent institutions, an exhumation was carried out and, following DNA analysis, the identity of the third member of the Klapuh family, Hasan Klapuh, was confirmed. After 34 years, the Klapuh family will be able to be laid to rest with dignity. 

Through the implementation of activities envisaged by the Action Plan for the implementation of the Strategy for the Investigation of War Crimes 2024–2027, cooperation with non-governmental organisations and competent institutions, as well as the active participation of its representative in clarifying the fate of missing persons, the Supreme State Prosecutor’s Office reaffirms its commitment to prosecuting war crimes and protecting victims’ rights.
