Joint and coordinated action by the prosecution service and civil society produces concrete and measurable results in the protection of victims, and we are determined to further strengthen and improve this practice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This was emphasized by Supreme State Prosecutor Milorad Markovi\u0107 at a meeting with representatives of non-governmental organizations working in the field of protecting the rights of various social groups that may face an increased risk of violence or discrimination. He highlighted the importance of their role in providing support to victims and improving the protection system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Markovi\u0107 stated that the State Prosecutor\u2019s Office remains committed to improving the handling of these cases and strengthening the sensitivity and awareness of state prosecutors and employees in their work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The participants emphasized that the exchange of experience and knowledge between institutions and civil society is important for improving practices and developing more effective protection mechanisms. They also discussed existing challenges in their work, as well as opportunities to overcome them and further strengthen the system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Speaking about the implementation of the Guidelines for Handling Cases of Domestic Violence or Violence in the Family Community, the participants agreed that their implementation has contributed to more efficient work by state prosecutor\u2019s offices, faster responses in sensitive cases, as well as better coordination with the police and other competent institutions. Particular emphasis was placed on progress in the timely identification of risks and protection of victims.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Representatives of non-governmental organizations pointed to specific examples of good practice, noting that the timely response of the prosecution service had contributed to the adequate protection of victims, and that communication between the State Prosecutor\u2019s Office and civil society had significantly improved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The results achieved were assessed as an encouraging step forward, while the participants expressed their readiness to continue their partnership and cooperation with the aim of further improving victim protection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The meeting was also attended by State Prosecutor Ana Radovi\u0107, State Prosecutor Armin Selmanovi\u0107, Head of the Professional Service at the Supreme State Prosecutor\u2019s Office Dijana Popovi\u0107 Gavranovi\u0107, and Head of the Office of the Supreme State Prosecutor Ikonija Radoji\u010di\u0107.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
