Markovi\u0107 je naglasio zna\u010daj \u010dinjenice da je istra\u017eivanje autonomno realizovano od strane Svjetske banke u saradnji sa Evropskom komisijom, isti\u010du\u0107i da je rije\u010d o objektivnom, nau\u010dno i stru\u010dno utemeljenom istra\u017eivanju koje pru\u017ea realne pokazatelje stanja u pravosu\u0111u.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThese results indicate that efforts in this direction should continue and that such research should be conducted in the future as well. The State Prosecutor\u2019s Office and the Prosecutorial Council remain available to provide data and information in a transparent and objective manner during the implementation of such research,\u201d Markovi\u0107 stated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He added that the research provides realistic indicators on the basis of which institutions can further direct reform processes and improve communication with the public.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Speaking about public perceptions of the judiciary, Markovi\u0107 pointed out that public opinion is often not formed solely on the basis of citizens\u2019 direct experiences with institutions, but also through various public interpretations that are not always based on objective and professional assessments of the work of judicial institutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe special value of this research lies in the fact that it clearly distinguishes between the perceptions of citizens who have had contact with the judiciary and those who have not. Among respondents who had direct experience with judicial institutions, the perception of fairness increases by 11 percent and reaches 75 percent, which demonstrates that direct interaction with institutions significantly affects the level of trust,\u201d Markovi\u0107 stated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The research results show that nearly 60 percent of citizens believe that the work of the prosecution service is efficient. It was also pointed out that two-thirds of prosecutors believe that the efficiency of the judiciary has improved, while 95 percent of prosecutors positively assess the work of their institutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
More than half of citizens believe that the prosecution service and state prosecutors are independent, while as many as 83 percent of prosecutors assess that the judicial system functions independently, according to the research findings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Supreme State Prosecutor also referred to the latest results of the public opinion survey \u201cStandard Eurobarometer 105,\u201d published by the European Commission, which show that citizens\u2019 trust in the judiciary in Montenegro has increased to 49 percent, representing a rise of 29 percent compared to the survey conducted in the autumn of 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
